The Egyptian pavilion at KOGS 2017
Egypt's petroleum sector pavilion at Kuwait's largest oil and gas show: 12 state companies, with the lead stand in the front row of Hall 6.

MEOS started in Bahrain in 1979 as the Gulf's first oil and gas show. At its 19th edition in March 2015, Zain Exhibitions organised Egypt's national pavilion, branded “EGYPT – Ministry of Petroleum”. It was the first of the Egyptian pavilions Zain ran at Gulf oil and gas shows between 2015 and 2017.
MEOS, the Middle East Oil & Gas Show and Conference, runs under the patronage of Bahrain's Prime Minister. All six GCC national oil companies support it: ADNOC, BAPCO, KPC, PDO, Qatar Petroleum and Saudi Aramco. They take showcase stands at the show and bring visitor delegations.
Arabian Exhibition Management (AEM) organises the exhibition and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) runs the conference, at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Manama. The brochure calls MEOS “the most established showcase of oil and gas products and services in the Middle East”.
Zain organised Egypt's national pavilion at the 19th edition, held 8–11 March 2015. The pavilion carried an illuminated “EGYPT – Ministry of Petroleum” fascia over the stands of Egyptian petroleum companies.
Photos from the show record the ribbon-cutting at the exhibition opening, officials touring the Egyptian pavilion, visitors at Egyptian company stands and the Egyptian delegation under the pavilion fascia.
MEOS 2015 opened a run of Egyptian participation at the Gulf's oil and gas shows:
MEOS 2017 and MEOS 2019 stayed in Zain's portfolio. At MEOS 2017 the organiser counted 8,332 attendees from 63 countries, a record in the show's 38 years, and 193 exhibitors from 25 countries on 12,000 m². Egypt was an exhibiting country, with the Ministry of Petroleum and EPSCO on the exhibitor list.
