The Egyptian pavilion at KOGS 2015
The 2nd Kuwait Oil & Gas Show and Conference (KOGS) brought 212 exhibitors from 19 countries to Mishref in October 2015. Zain Exhibitions organised Egypt's national pavilion, branded “EGYPT, Land of Opportunity”. Egypt was one of three national groups at the show, with France and Malaysia.

About KOGS
KOGS is Kuwait's largest oil and gas show and is held every two years at the Kuwait International Fair in Mishref. Arabian Exhibition Management (AEM), an Allworld Exhibitions member that later became UBM AEM, runs the exhibition, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) runs the conference.
The organiser describes the exhibition as covering the whole industry, from petroleum geosciences and exploration and production to refining and petrochemicals.
What Zain did
Zain organised Egypt's national pavilion at the 2nd edition. It followed Egypt's pavilion at MEOS 2015 in Bahrain, which Zain organised earlier the same year.
The pavilion carried the Egyptian eagle and the slogan “EGYPT, Land of Opportunity”. Photos show the Egyptian delegation at the pavilion backdrop, officials touring the show floor with delegates and press, and delegates visiting exhibitor stands.
The 2015 show in numbers
The organiser's KOGS 2017 brochure reported these figures for the 2015 edition:
- 5,241 attendees.
- 212 exhibitors from 19 countries on 14,000 m².
- Three national groups: France, Egypt and Malaysia.
- 97% of attendees said they would visit again, and 95% of exhibitors said they would take part again.
- 84% of exhibitors rated attendee quality excellent or good.
What came next
Two years later, Zain returned to KOGS to organise the Egyptian petroleum sector's pavilion at the 3rd edition, with 12 state companies and the lead EGPC stand in the front row of Hall 6. KOGS 2019 stayed in Zain's portfolio.
